  • The Neuroscience of Leadership
    • What do the latest insights into the working of the human mind have to offer to Leadership Development? • Optimising the brain
    • In the 1980’s and 1990’s, the Brain was thought of as far too complex and confusing an area for most of us to get into. However, in recent years, the Brain has become a ‘sexy’ topic, and everyone is trying to get in on the act. This inevitably means that a lot of misinformation is mixed in with the good stuff. In this session, participants learn fundamental Functional Anatomy of the Brain along with the nutrition and best practices that will lead us to having brains that can function and thrive under pressure. This session is not to be missed if you wish to enhance your employees’ productivity, as well as their future morbidity and mortality.

  • Mind Mapping®: 'Utilising the power of your Brain'
    • As human beings we are all owners of one of the most amazing and complex objects in the universe - the human brain. This bio computer dwarfs the capacity of any man made computing device yet we barely scrape the surface of its potential. By recognising the true nature of the brain we can all significantly improve our mental performance. By reflecting the way our brains actually work Mind Mapping® is a tool that helps us achieve this. Participants will learn the fundamentals of Mind Maps®, why they are important and their many applications, including note taking, unlocking creativity, planning and the capture and comprehension of vast amounts of information.

  • Banishing Back Pain
    • Back pain is one of the biggest sources of both absenteeism and presenteeism and is a huge drain on productivity. Most treatment programs are based on an outdated understanding of human anatomy and are thus doomed to either failure or only partial success. This workshop is a combination of theory and practice and participants are given a DVD with exercises and mobilisers (stretches on steroids!!) that will help facilitate long-term improvements.

  • The secrets of Longevity
    • The concept of aging is a hot topic right now, but there is a lot of misleading information in the public domain about how to improve longevity (and with that, employee engagement). This workshop separates the fact from the fiction, and gives participants evidence-based tips on how to enhance longevity through nutrition and lifestyle. The workshop critically evaluates the leading theories of aging and reveals a systematic approach to reducing chronic disease risk and maximizing cellular health.

  • Shift Happens : the Neuroscience of Behaviour Change
    • Recent Neuroscience experiments have shown that the part of your Brain that is activated when you hear a compelling argument for change is different from the brain areas activated when you actually intend to make a change (which match areas that are active when you adopt a new behavior). This workshop gives participants insights into their behavioral drivers and uses a range of validated tools that help to facilitate activation of brain areas that are critical for long-term change.

  • Nutrition for Brain & Body Performance
    • Consumers are constantly bombarded by a plethora of conflicting and confusing messages regarding nutrition and much of it is not scientifically based. This workshop teaches participants the fundamentals of sound nutrition and simplifies the whole eating process by identifying ‘above’ and ‘below’ the line nutrition. Rather than focusing on optimal nutrient amounts (which have never been scientifically proven), it focuses on which foods are essential to proper function of our brains, body systems and cells. It also give strategies for combating the single biggest cause of a plethora of chronic diseases – chronic systemic inflammation.

  • Exercise as Medicine
    • The cost of healthcare in Australia is huge and the year-on-year rise is clearly unsustainable to the economy. A balance of theory and practical advice, this workshop reveals the benefits of exercise in the prevention and treatment of a host of chronic diseases and conditions, including Cardiovascular disease, Cancer, Metabolic Syndrome, Diabetes, Alzheimer’s & Parkinson’s disease, Depression and Back-pain. The different but complimentary effects of Cardiovascular and Strength training on chronic diseases are investigated, along with recommendations for each.

  • Energy Management
    • Stress and time management are the traditional focus of employee wellness programs. However, a much greater impact on an individual’s performance is how they manage their energy. Our energy levels contribute to everything we do and energy is the fundamental currency of performance. This workshop teaches the physiological components of energy and gives practical tips on how to work in with the body’s natural energy rhythms. By doing so, individuals will learn how to become an ‘Executive Athlete’, maintaining a high level of performance and energy throughout the day

  • Stress – The Good, the Bad & the Ugly
    • The whole topic of stress is generally pretty poorly understood. In this seminar, Exercise Physiologist & Neuroscientist Paul Taylor investigates the link between the different forms of stress and a whole host of health problems by revealing insights from the science of Psychoneuroimmunology. Paul links this research to the concept of Energy Management and shows how this is critical to whether we achieve optimal functioning or descend into the Stress Vortex – a damaging state on both the body and mind that can descend into a freefall of self-destruction. Participants receive practical tips to ensure that they increase their resilience and optimise their exposure to life’s stresses.
