Mind Mastery
  • When are we responsible for our own actions and when are we in the grip of biological forces beyond our control? This section will investigate how the human brain is sculpted by genes, shaped by early experience, modulated by hormones, and otherwise influenced to produce a range of behaviors with a variety of health implications. A range of practical tools are provided to enable participants to win back control of their minds.

Energy Management
  • Stress and time management are the traditional focus of employee wellness programs. However, a much greater impact on an individual’s performance is how they manage their energy. Our energy levels contribute to everything we do and energy is the fundamental currency of performance. This workshop teaches employees about the physiological components of energy and gives practical tips on how to work together with their body’s natural circadian and ultradian rhythms. By doing so, individuals will learn how to become an ‘Executive Athlete’, maintaining a high level of performance and energy throughout the day..

Movement for Performance
  • The modern western world is engaged in an ‘incidental conspiracy’ to make us fat and unhealthy. This section teaches participants how to evaluate their lifestyle and gives a host of practical tips that will facilitate better health, greater mental focus and improved energy levels..

Nutrition for Performance
  • Consumers are constantly bombarded by a plethora of conflicting and confusing messages regarding nutrition and much of it is not scientifically based. This workshop teaches participants the fundamentals of sound nutrition and simplifies the whole eating process by identifying ‘above’ and ‘below’ the line nutrition. Rather than focusing on optimal nutrient amounts (which have never been scientifically proven), it focuses on which foods are essential to proper function of our brains, body systems and cells. It also give strategies for combating the single biggest cause of a plethora of chronic diseases – chronic systemic inflammation.

Harvesting Happiness
  • This seminar is a journey from Aristotle to Seligman which looks at both the history and recent scientific advancements in the study of happiness. It covers the main components of happiness and reveals how the traditional Western approach of focusing on hedonic happiness is the architect of many mental health problems. Through an analysis of the studies of the emerging Positive Psychology movement, participants will walk away with both a greater understanding of happiness as well as a number of clinically evaluated tools for harvesting happiness.

Shift Happens : the Neuroscience of Behaviour Change
  • Recent Neuroscience experiments have shown that the part of your Brain that is activated when you hear a compelling argument for change is different from the brain areas activated when you actually intend to make a change (which match areas that are active when you adopt a new behavior). HPI uses a range of validated tools that help to facilitate activation of these brain areas.
